What inspired you to become a filmmaker?

This film is a love letter to live performance made when performance could not be live. It was my first film, made out of necessity, and it has inspired an entirely new direction for my career trajectory.

What's is your all time favorite film? Why is it special to you?

Basquiat. Watching it was a defining moment at an artistically formative time in my life.

What tips would you give aspiring filmmakers who are just starting their careers?

Say yes to your collaborators early, often, and with gratitude. The caliber of your work is governed by the genius of others. The more buy-in from your team, the better your film will be.
