Meet the Finalist: Felise Garcia, "The Honey Trapper"

Tell us about yourself, and about The Honey Trapper.

My name's Felise Garcia, and I'm from San Antonio, TX. I'm the creator, producer, writer, main casting director, and lead actress of The Honey Trapper Web Series. I'm so excited for my series to be one of the finalists in the Web/TV category!

Share a memorable moment you experienced working on this project.

The most memorable moment I had was on the last day of filming. I stood on set for a moment to take in watching the crew working hard in their specific roles and the cast getting in the zone for their characters. Knowing that all of those people were there to support my project in some aspect because they truly believed in it was such an incredible feeling and moment!

Name 3 collaborators that you'd take with you to any other project.

My director/friend Bryce Williams, my AD/friend Amanda Sanchez, and my bff/co-star Justin Morfin.

3 tips you’d like to share with aspiring artists in your field:

a) Success starts with good preparation and pre-production, so be sure to put in the time for that.

b) That being said, sometimes external factors occur that are beyond your control, so be ready and resilient to roll with the punches. You can find a way to get through them!

c) Surround yourself with like minded individuals that want to see you succeed, because completing a project truly does take a village.

What do you hope to achieve in your career in the next 5 years?

In five years I hope to be doing what I love full time. I hope to be running my own show or be staffed on an established one.
